Biathlon World Championships 2024 – Women's Pursuit
The Women's pursuit competition at the Biathlon World Championships 2024 was held on 11 February 2024. Julia Simon from France was the defending champion and successfully defended her title from the 2023 World Championships. She won her third of four gold medals at these championships. Natalia Sidorowicz (née Tomaszewska; born 9 September 1998) is a Polish biathlete. She has competed in the Biathlon World Cup since 2022. Career Natalia Sidorowicz made her international debut at the 2016 Youth Olympic Games in Lillehammer, finishing 46th and 41st in the sprint and pursuit races. In the 2016/17 season, she competed in the junior category but did not achieve notable results. The following year, Sidorowicz won her first individual medal, securing bronze in the mixed relay at the 2018 IBU Junior Open European Championships with Joanna Jakieła, Przemysław Pancerz, and Marcin Szwajnos. Dorothea Wierer (, ; born 3 April 1990) is an Italian biathlete competing in the Biathlon World Cup. Together with Karin Oberhofer, Dominik Windisch and Lukas Hofer she won a bronze medal in the Mixed relay at the 2014 Winter Olympics, in Sochi, Russia.
