Bianka Schermann
Bianka Schermann (born 26 June 2003) is a Hungarian artistic gymnast and a member of the Hungary women's national gymnastics team. She competed at the 2019 World Championships and the 2019 European Games, and took the silver medal on vault at the 2021 Cairo World Challenge Cup. Personal life Schermann was born on 26 June 2003 in Budapest. She is the older sister of figure skater Regina Schermann. Bianka speaks English and Mandarin in addition to Hungarian. Career Junior In June 2017, Schermann placed fourth in the all-around at the Gym Festival Trnava in Slovakia, where she also took the bronze medal in the junior uneven bars final. In July, Schermann was selected to the Hungarian team for the 2017 European Youth Olympic Festival alongside Csenge Bácskay and Nóra Fehér. The team finished fourth behind Russia, Italy and Germany. Gymnastics Floor
In gymnastics, the floor is a specially prepared exercise surface, considered an apparatus. The floor exercise (English abbreviation FX) is the event performed on the floor, in both women's and men's artistic gymnastics (WAG and MAG). The same floor is used for WAG FX and MAG FX, but rules and scoring differ; most obviously, a WAG FX routine is synchronised to a piece of recorded dance music, whereas MAG FX has no musical accompaniment. A spring floor is used in all gymnastics to provide more bounce and help prevent potential injuries to gymnasts' lower extremity joints due to the nature of the apparatus, which includes the repeated pounding required to train it. The uneven bars or asymmetric bars is an artistic gymnastics apparatus. It is made of a steel frame. The bars are made of fiberglass with wood coating, or less commonly wood. The English abbreviation for the event in gymnastics scoring is UB or AB, and the apparatus and event are often referred to simply as "bars". The bars are placed at different heights and widths, allowing the gymnast to transition from bar to bar. A gymnast usually adds white chalk to the hands so that they can grip the bar better. Gymnastics Vault
The vault is an artistic gymnastics maneuver typically performed on a pommel horse or a vaulting table. Both male and female gymnasts perform the vault. The English abbreviation for the event in gymnastics scoring is VT. The apparatus German Friedrich Ludwig Jahn popularized the vault's early forms. The apparatus itself originated as a "horse", much like the pommel horse but without the handles; it was sometimes known as the vaulting horse. Nancy Taman
Nancy Mohamed Ali Taman (born 15 November 1994; Alexandria, Egypt) is an Egyptian artistic gymnast. Taman earned two gold medals in the 2018 Mediterranean Games and the 2019 African Games and won a silver medal in the 2015 African Games. Gymnastics career Taman started her gymnastics career in 1998 at the age of four. 2020 European Women's Artistic Gymnastics Championships
The 33rd European Women's Artistic Gymnastics Championships were held from 17 to 20 December 2020 in Mersin, Turkey. The competition was originally scheduled to be held from 30 April to 3 May 2020 in Paris, France, but it was rescheduled due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Baku, Azerbaijan was announced as the replacement host for 17 to 20 December, before the event was relocated to Mersin. Originally an Olympic qualifying event, the competition was undesignated as such in light of the ongoing pandemic, so as to avoid pressuring member federations to attend if they were not willing to do so. Noémi Makra (born 18 November 1997) is a Hungarian retired artistic gymnast. She is a two-time gold medalist on the FIG World Cup series and a two-time World all-around finalist. Dorina Böczögő (born 15 February 1992 in Orosháza) is a Hungarian artistic gymnast who competed at the 2008 and 2012 Summer Olympics.
