	Bharathi Kannamma ''Bharathi Kannamma'' () is a 1997 Indian Tamil language, Tamil-language romantic drama film written and directed by Cheran (director), Cheran in his directorial debut , starring R. Parthiban and Meena (actress), Meena. The film marks Cheran's debut as a director and screenwriter. It was released on 15 January 1997 and emerged a success, winning three 47th Filmfare Awards South, Filmfare Awards South including Filmfare Award for Best Film – Tamil, Best Film – Tamil. 	Bharathi Kannamma (2019 TV Series) ''Bharathi Kannamma'' is a 2019 Indian Tamil-language television series that aired on Star Vijay and is available to stream on Disney+ Hotstar, directed by Praveen Bennett. The first season of the series premiered on 25 February 2019 and ended on 4 February 2023.
