Beyond The Poseidon Adventure
''Beyond the Poseidon Adventure'' is a 1979 American disaster film and a sequel to '' The Poseidon Adventure'' (1972) directed by Irwin Allen and starring Michael Caine and Sally Field. It was a critical and commercial failure. Its box office receipts were only 20% of its estimated $10 million budget. Plot The capsized luxury liner ''S.S. Poseidon'' is still afloat after six survivors have been rescued by the French Coast Guard. Mike Turner, captain of the tugboat ''Jenny'', spots the rescue helicopter and finds the shipwreck. Mort Künstler
Morton Künstler (August 28, 1927 – February 2, 2025) was an American artist known for his illustrative paintings of historical events, especially of the American Civil War. He was a child prodigy, who, with encouragement from his parents, became a skilled artist by the time he was twelve. Today he is considered the "best-known and most respected historical artist in the country." Künstler began his career in the 1950s as a freelance artist, illustrating paperback book covers and men's adventure magazines. In 1965 he was commissioned by ''National Geographic'' to create what became his first historic painting. Paul Picerni
Horacio Paul Picerni (December 1, 1922 – January 12, 2011) was an American actor in film and television, perhaps best known today in the role of Federal Agent Lee Hobson, second-in-command to Robert Stack's Eliot Ness, in the ABC hit television series, '' The Untouchables''. Early years Picerni was born in New York City to an Italian family. Raised in Corona, Queens, he was an Eagle Scout in his youth and adolescence. After high school, Picerni studied drama at Loyola University. Military service Picerni joined the United States Army Air Forces during World War II and served as a B-24 Liberator bombardier in the China-Burma-India Theater.
