Electric Sun
Electric Sun was a rock band formed by German guitarist Uli Jon Roth after his departure, from the rock band Scorpions in 1978. They released three albums between 1978 and 1986. Their first album, ''Earthquake'', was released in 1979 and features guitarist/vocalist Roth, bassist Ule Ritgen and drummer Clive Edwards. Edwards departed, shortly after recording the first album. ''Fire Wind'' was released next in 1981, featuring new drummer Sidhatta Gautama. The band toured, for the next few years afterwards. While the first two albums were recorded as a trio, the third album was more of an ensemble project. Lyraka
Lyraka is a multimedia art project. There has been one musical CD released from the project, Lyraka Volume 1, with another in the works. Also in the making is a graphic novel collaboration between the project's original creator, Jasmine Aliara, and horror artist Vince Locke. The project features several portraits both commissioned and licensed from fantasy artist Ken Kelly as well as Locke. Origins Lyraka was originally conceived by Jasmine Aliara in 2006, as the result of a lifetime fascination with fantasy creatures and tales. Around that time composer-guitarist Andy DiGelsomina suggested making the project into something resembling a Wagnerian Gesamtkunstwerk, incorporating music, graphic novels, fiction, and ultimately film. As Aliara put together a website and script corresponding to her vision, DiGelsomina began composing music for the soundtrack. Andy DiGelsomina
Andy DiGelsomina is an American composer, lead guitarist, songwriter, orchestrator, arranger, blogger, and producer. Life and career DiGelsomina was born in Springfield, Ohio. His father was a fan of rock music, while his fraternal grandfather preferred traditional art music which made both genres very impactful during the composer's early years. Though the music of Elton John and Jerry Goldsmith started his lifelong love of music, DiGelsomina first aimed at becoming a fiction writer, shunning high school to earn a college degree at the age of eighteen. It was around that time that he heard the first Black Sabbath album and subsequently changed his major to music. His time in school was cut short when he abandoned the institutionalized education system and instead became a determined autodidact. Zeno Roth
Jochen "Zeno" Roth (30 June 1956 – 5 February 2018) was a German guitarist and songwriter, playing in a neoclassical/blues style. He was the younger brother of guitarist Uli Jon Roth. Biography In the 1970s, Roth and Ule W. Ritgen formed Black Angel in Hanover, and played together for a few years while attending university. After the band, which played music influenced by Eric Clapton, Jimi Hendrix, etc., broke up in 1977, Ritgen played bass in Zeno's brother Uli Jon Roth's band Electric Sun, appearing on three of their albums. By 1980, Zeno Roth and Ule Ritgen were again working together, now playing in a more melodic style. They were joined by Michael Flexig on vocals, and the band was named Zeno. Viola
The viola ( , () ) is a string instrument of the violin family, and is usually bowed when played. Violas are slightly larger than violins, and have a lower and deeper sound. Alto
The musical term alto, meaning "high" in Italian (Latin: '' altus''), historically refers to the contrapuntal part higher than the tenor and its associated vocal range. In four-part voice leading alto is the second-highest part, sung in choruses by either low women's or high men's voices. A soprano () is a type of classical singing voice and has the highest vocal range of all voice types. Clive William Bunker (born 30 December 1946) is a British drummer. He is best known as the original drummer of the rock band Jethro Tull, playing in the band from 1967 until 1971. Never a self-professed technical drummer, Bunker engaged with the essence of blues and rock 'n' roll, influenced by Ginger Baker and Mitch Mitchell. He was also inspired by Buddy Rich and The Hollies' Bobby Elliott. Career Early career Bunker was born in Luton, Bedfordshire, and played in his first band The Warriors in the 1960s.
