"Better Days" is a song by American rapper WC (rapper), WC and the second single from his debut studio album ''The Shadiest One'' (1998). Produced by Barr Nine Productions, it features Ron Banks of The Dramatics. An alternative version of the song features American singer Jon B. Background "Better Days" was one of several tracks from ''The Shadiest One'' which WC considered for a single following "Just Clownin'", along with "Keep Hustlin'", "Fuckin' wit Uh House Party" and "Can't Hold Back". It was later released as his second solo single on September 29, 1998. William LaShawn Calhoun Jr. (born February 3, 1970), better known by his stage name WC (pronounced "dub-c"), is an American rapper and actor. He originally was a rapper in the group Low Profile and later formed his group WC and the Maad Circle, who first succeeded with the single "Ain't A Damn Thang Changed". He later started a solo career and has released four solo albums. He is also well known for being a member of the rap supergroup Westside Connection with West Coast rappers Ice Cube and Mack 10. Early life William Calhoun, Jr. was born in Houston, Texas on February 3, 1970. He moved to South Central, Los Angeles as a child. Recording sessions took place at Backroom Studios in Glendale, at Echo Sound in Los Angeles, at Skip Saylor Recording in California, at Bad Ass Beat Lab in Antioch, at Infinite Studios in Alameda, at The Crackhouse, at Urban House Studios, Inc., and at Can-Am Recorders in Tarzana.
