A mandi, mashkhanna ( ), or beth manda (''beit manda'', , 'house of knowledge'; also ''bimanda''), is a Mandaean building that serves as a community center and place of worship. A mandi is traditionally built on the banks of a yardna, or flowing river. Although mandis are traditionally "cult-huts" made of straw, bamboo, and mud that are built by the river,Drower, E. S. 1960. Dalby () is a locality and short-lived (11th century) former Latin Catholic diocese situated in Lund Municipality, Skåne County, Sweden with 6732 inhabitants in 2019. Mandi Yehya Youhanna
Yahya Yuhana Mandi (officially registered as Mandi Yehya Youhanna) is a Mandaean temple ( mandi) in Prestons, New South Wales, Australia. It is named after John the Baptist, who is known as ''Yahya Yuhana'' in Mandaic. Unlike Ganzibra Dakhil Mandi, which does not have an indoor baptismal pool, Yahya Yuhana Mandi has an indoor baptismal pool utilizing pumped flowing water that is used for masbuta and ablutions (tamasha and rishama). It is similar to a modern Jewish ''mikveh''. A wedding canopy and a clay shkinta are placed next to the pool. The mandi also contains artwork by Yuhana Nashmi. Prestons is a suburb of Sydney, in the state of New South Wales, Australia 37 kilometres south-west of the Sydney central business district, in the local government area of the City of Liverpool. History In the 1800s, this general area was known as "Cross Roads".
