Benjamin Marshall (8 November 1768 – 29 January 1835)Noakes, Aubrey. 1978. ''Ben Marshall, 1768–1835''. Leigh-on-Sea: F. Lewis. p. 27. . was an English sporting and animal painter. He was a follower of George Stubbs and studied under Lemuel Abbott for three years. Life He was born in Seagrave, Leicestershire to Charles and Elizabeth Marshall. He initially focused on portrait painting, until at the age of 26 he began to concentrate on horses. He exhibited thirteen pictures, chiefly portraits of racehorses and their owners, at the Royal Academy, 1801–1812 and 1818–19. His portraits of sporting characters included those of J. G. Shaddick, 1806, and Daniel Lambert, 1807. Two pictures of fighting cocks, exhibited in 1812, were engraved in mezzotint by Charles Turner in the same year with the titles of ''The Cock in Feather'' and ''The Trimm'd Cock''. Marshall and Fox was a United States architectural firm based in Chicago from 1905 to 1926. The principals, Benjamin H. Marshall and Charles E. Fox, designed a number of significant buildings of many types in Chicago and other cities, but they were best known for luxury hotels and apartment buildings. Bennett "Benny" Marshall (November 6, 1919 - September 25, 1969) was a ten-time winner of the Alabama Sportswriter of the Year from the National Sportscasters and Sportswriters Association. Ben Marshall (born 8 June 1990) is a retired rugby union player from Ireland. He primarily played as a lock or in the back row. Marshall played for Irish provincial sides Leinster and Connacht in the Pro12, but was forced to retire in 2017 due to a concussion. Early life Born in Dublin, Marshall attended St. Andrew's College in the city, playing rugby for the school. He played with UCD, and Old Belvedere while part of the Leinster academy. Career Leinster Marshall came through the youth system of his native province, Leinster. Ben Marshall (footballer)
Ben Marshall (born 29 March 1991) is an English footballer who plays for North West Counties League side Darwen. He normally plays as a winger or right back. Born in Salford, Marshall began his career as a youth player with Manchester United. He joined Crewe Alexandra in 2003. He went professional in 2009, with Stoke City, but struggled to break into the first team and went on loan to four clubs. In 2012, he made permanent transfer on deadline day to Leicester City. After only one season with Leicester, he moved to Blackburn Rovers in 2013. After seasons with Blackburn, he signed for Wolverhampton Wanderers on 31 January 2017. He has since then since for Stoneclough FC in the West Lancashire Division League and Darwen FC 1/6/23 who play in the North West County Football League. Please Don't Destroy is an American comedy group in New York City consisting of Ben Marshall, John Higgins, and Martin Herlihy, who began collaborating as students at New York University. The group was founded in 2017 and based on an act titled ''Please Don't Destroy My Farm''. The troupe performed monthly comedy shows, appeared at the New York Comedy Festival and produced sketch videos posted to YouTube. During the COVID-19 pandemic, they began creating shorter videos for TikTok and Twitter. In 2021, the trio was hired as writers on ''Saturday Night Live'' (''SNL'') to produce prerecorded digital videos for the show's 47th season. ''Please Don't Destroy'' debuted on ''SNL'' on October 9, 2021. They recorded the song "Three Sad Virgins" with Pete Davidson and Taylor Swift.
