Benjamin L. Crump College Of Law
The Benjamin L. Crump College of Law is the law school of St. Thomas University located in Miami Gardens, Florida. The College of Law was founded in 1984. According to its 2024 ABA-required disclosures, 62.9% of the Class of 2023 obtained full-time, bar-passage-required employment (i.e. as attorneys) after graduation. The college was renamed after civil rights attorney Benjamin Crump in 2023. The law school includes the Benjamin L. Crump Center for Social Justice, which focuses on implicit bias training and offers scholarships to students. Diversity In 2023, '' U.S. News & World Report'' reported that the law school was the sixth most ethnically and racially diverse ABA-accredited law school. Caylee Marie Anthony (August9, 2005 – June2008) was an American toddler who lived in Orlando, Florida, with her mother, Casey Marie Anthony (born March19, 1986), and her maternal grandparents, George and Cindy Anthony. On July15, 2008, Caylee was reported missing in a call made by Cindy, who said she had not seen the child for thirty-one days. The U.S. House Committee on Ethics, often known simply as the Ethics Committee, is one of the committees of the United States House of Representatives. Before the 112th Congress, it was known as the Committee on Standards of Official Conduct. The House Ethics Committee has often received criticism. In response to criticism, the House created the Office of Congressional Ethics (OCE), an independent non-partisan entity established to monitor ethical conduct in the House. Florida's 20th congressional district is a U.S. congressional district in Southeast Florida. It is currently held by Democrat Sheila Cherfilus-McCormick, who was elected in a January 2022 special election, following the death of Alcee Hastings on April 6, 2021. With a Cook Partisan Voting Index (CPVI) rating of D+22, it is the most Democratic district in Florida. Sheila Cherfilus-McCormick ( ; born January 25, 1979) is an American businesswoman and politician serving as the U.S. representative for Florida's 20th congressional district since 2022. Her district covers most of the Black-majority areas in and around Fort Lauderdale and West Palm Beach. A member of the Democratic Party, she won a special election in 2022 to fill the seat left vacant after the death of Alcee Hastings. Juan-Carlos "J.C." Planas (born July 17, 1970 in Miami, Florida) is an American politician. He received his bachelor's degree from the Florida State University in 1993.
