''Beneath the Veil of Winter's Face'' is the third studio album by the Canadian rock band Mystery. It is the first Mystery album to feature Benoît David on lead vocals, and the first without former lead vocalist Gary Savoie. The band's lineup remained unchanged aside from this. Originally to be recorded soon after '' Destiny?'', it was released in 2007 due to Michel St-Père shifting his focus to his record label. This was the last album to feature bassist Patrick Bourque, who died shortly after the album's release. Mystery (often stylized as MYSTERY) is a Canadian rock band formed in 1986 by multi-instrumentalist Michel St-Père. The band released their eponymous debut EP in 1992 with Raymond and Gary Savoie on lead vocals, followed by their first album '' Theatre of the Mind'' in 1996 and then '' Destiny?'' in 1998, both with Gary on lead vocals. ''One Among the Living'' is the fourth studio album by the Canadian rock band Mystery. Prior to recording this album Patrick Bourque had been replaced by François Fournier, Benoît Dupuis rejoined the band as keyboardist after a 12-year absence, and Dean Baldwin joined as a second guitarist. Songs The "Through Different Eyes" suite deals with mourning. In the suite, two people, one living and one deceased, feel as though they have lost the other person forever, but in fact are still together, albeit in different places. Benoît Gérard Guy David (; born 19 April 1966) is a Canadian retired singer best known as the lead vocalist in the English progressive rock band Yes (band), Yes from 2009 to 2012. He was also lead singer of the band Mystery (band), Mystery from 1999 to 2013, and a Yes tribute band called Close to the Edge. Biography Early and personal life David was born in Montreal, Quebec on 19 April 1966, and raised in the Brossard suburb. He was raised and schooled speaking French and started learning English on his paper route and talking with his friends.
