Ben Williams (actor)
Benjamin Percy Williams (6 October 1892 in Glamorgan, Wales – December 1959 in Chelsea, London) was a British character actor from the 1930s to the late 1950s. During his career he appeared in 137 films. In 1954 Williams acted in the BBC Radio play ''Under Milk Wood'' that won the Prix Italia award for radio drama that year. Originally a miner in Swansea, Williams served in the Royal Artillery in Palestine during the First World War, and he was an Air Raid Warden in London during the Second World War. Williams made his film debut in an uncredited role in the 1933 film ''The Good Companions''. Lewis Ben Williams (born May 28, 1970) is an American former professional football player. Born in Belzoni, Mississippi, Williams played as a defensive lineman at the University of Minnesota. He led the team in sacks for the 1990 and 1991 seasons, and was named as honorable mention to the Associated Press's 1990 All-Big Ten Conference football team and a second-teamer on the 1991 All-Big Ten Conference football team; he held the all-time sack record for the Golden Gophers upon graduation. After college, Williams played in the Canadian Football League (CFL) for the Shreveport Pirates, where he was named an East Division All-Star in 1994. Over two seasons in 1994 and 1995, he recorded 15 sacks and 107 tackles. In the 1997 World League draft, he was selected second overall with the first pick of by the London Monarchs. Ben Williams (born 23 April 2002) is a Welsh rugby union player who plays for the Scarlets as a number 8 or flanker. He is a Wales under-20 international. Robert Jerry Williams (September 1, 1954 – May 18, 2020), nicknamed "Gentle Ben", was an American professional football player who was a defensive end in the National Football League (NFL) from 1976 to 1985. Williams was the first Black person to play college football for the Ole Miss Rebels of the University of Mississippi. Ben Williams (born December 28, 1984, Washington, D.C.) is an American jazz bassist. Biography Ben Williams began playing bass at age 10, was raised in the District of Columbia, and graduated from Duke Ellington School of the Arts. He received a Bachelor of Arts in Music Education from Michigan State University and a Master of Music in Jazz Studies at the Juilliard School. Benjamin Jon Williams (born 14 April 1977), better known as Ben Williams, is a retired Australian football referee. Refereeing career Williams officiates in the Asian Champions League (ACL), AFC Cup and in the Australian A-League football competition. He has been a FIFA referee since 2005 and AFC Elite panel referee since 2006.
