Ben (German Singer)
Ben (born Bernhard Albrecht Matthias Lasse Blümel on 15 May 1981 in Berlin) is a German singer, songwriter, and occasional voice actor and TV host. His greatest success was 2002 with the hit single "Engel", a collaboration with singer Gim. He was also successful as TV presenter of the music show '' The Dome'' (RTL II), ''Toggo Music'' (Super RTL) and '' Bravo TV'' (Pro 7). He was the narrator in the German version of the 2006 Canadian-French animal film ''The White Planet''. Nena
Gabriele Susanne Kerner (born 24 March 1960), better known as Nena, is a German singer and songwriter who rose to international fame in 1983 as the lead vocalist of the band Nena with the Neue Deutsche Welle song "99 Luftballons". In the same year the band re-recorded this song in English as "99 Red Balloons". Nena's re-recording of some of the band's old hit songs as a solo artist, produced by the co-composer of most of them, her former Nena band colleague and keyboard player Uwe Fahrenkrog-Petersen, rekindled her solo career in 2002. Combined with the success of the Nena band years, she has sold over 25 million records, making her the most successful German pop singer in chart history. The Goldene Stimmgabel (English: Golden Tuning Fork) was an annual prize awarded within the German music scene from 1981 to 2007. The prizes were awarded according to the number of records sold from October of the previous year to June of the year of the award, as determined by Media Control. It was established in 1981 by Dieter Thomas Heck, who hosted the television gala award show every year since then. It was broadcast on either ARD or ZDF until the year 2000. From 2001 to 2007 the award show was broadcast by ZDF alone. In 2008, ZDF decided not to present the award and did not announce whether they would be resumed later, discontinued, or replaced with another award. The award has not been held since (as of October 2019). Kate Hall (born 21 May 1983) is a Danish-British singer living in Germany. Biography Hall was born in Harwich, Essex, to an English mother and Danish father, and moved to Allerød when she was three years old. As a child, she received lessons in singing, piano and dancing. When she was twelve years old, she was accepted into the Danish Radio Girls' choir. A year later, she made studio recordings for '' Postman Pat''. She appeared as a television presenter in The Voice TV Danmark, and reached the final of the Danish edition of '' Popstars'' where she finished third. After being discovered by the German music producer, Alex Christensen, she reached the German charts with the single "Is There Anybody Out There?" in June 2005.
