Bellas Artes is a station along Line 2 and Line 8 of the Mexico City Metro system. It is located in the Colonia Centro neighborhood of the Delegación Cuauhtémoc municipality of Mexico City, on the junction of Avenida Juárez and Eje Central Lázaro Cárdenas, on the eastern end of Alameda Central, west of the city centre. In 2019, the station had an average ridership of 51,440 passengers per day. The Palacio de Bellas Artes (Palace of Fine Arts) is a prominent cultural center in Mexico City. It hosts performing arts events, literature events and plastic arts galleries and exhibitions (including important permanent Mexican murals). "Bellas Artes" for short, has been called the "art cathedral of Mexico", and is located on the western side of the historic center of Mexico City which is close to the Alameda Central park. Bellas Artes replaced the original National Theater, built in the late 19th century. The latter was demolished as part of urban redesign in Mexico City, and a more opulent building was planned to celebrate the centennial of the Mexican War of Independence in 1910. Centro de Bellas Artes de Caguas (English: ''Caguas Center of Fine Arts''), officially the Ángel O. Berríos Performing Arts Center, is a multi-purpose performance center located on Ruiz Belviz and Luis Padial streets in Caguas Pueblo (downtown Caguas).
