Belarusian Passport
A Belarusian passport (; ) is issued to citizens of Belarus and is used for both external and internal travel. Unlike Russia, there are no internal passports in Belarus. Passports are issued by the Ministry of Internal Affairs in Belarus and by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs to citizens who live abroad. "AB" series passports are assigned to Brest Region, "BM" series passports - Vitebsk Region, "HB" series passports - Gomel Region, "KH" series passports - Grodno Region, "MP" series passports - Minsk city, "MC" series passports - Minsk Region, "KB" series passports - Mogilev Region, "PP" series passports are assigned to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. A biometric passport (also known as an electronic passport, e-passport or a digital passport) is a passport that has an embedded electronic microprocessor chip, which contains biometrics, biometric information that can be used to authenticate the identity of the passport holder. It uses contactless smart card technology, including a microprocessor chip (computer chip) and antenna (for both power to the chip and communication) embedded in the front or back cover, or centre page, of the passport. New Belarus Passport Project
The New Belarus passport project was initiated by the United Transitional Cabinet of Belarus (a government-in-exile) to provide legal identification for the citizens of Belarus emigrated for political reasons, in response to the decree of President Alexander Lukashenko forbidding the issuance and renewal of Belarusian passports abroad. Constitutional Court Of Belarus
The Constitutional Court of Belarus is one of the top-tier courts in the eastern European country. Created in 1994, the Court is run under guidelines that were issued in 1997. The purpose of the court is to render justice in areas where the Constitution of Belarus, constitution has come into question, such as a local law contradicting the constitution. There are 12 judges that sit on the bench, with all having degrees in legal studies, as required by Belarusian law.
