Behala is a locality of South West Kolkata in Kolkata district in the Indian state of West Bengal. Behala is a part of Kolkata Municipal Corporation area. It is broadly spread across Ward Numbers: 118, 119, 120, 121, 122, 123, 124, 125, 126, 127, 128, 129, 130, 131 and 132 of the Kolkata Municipal Corporation (KMC) and is divided into two Vidhan Sabha constituencies: Behala Paschim and Behala Purba. This area is served by the South West Division of Kolkata Police also known as Behala Division (The division comprises Behala, Taratala, Parnasree, Sarsuna, Thakurpukur and Haridevpur). Behala Chowrasta Metro Station
Behala Chowrasta is an elevated metro station on the North-South corridor of the Purple Line (Kolkata Metro), Purple Line of Kolkata Metro in Kolkata, West Bengal, India. It is located exactly above the Behala Chowrasta intersection on National Highway 12 (India), Diamond Harbour Road / NH-12. It was opened in the first phase of this line. The station was commissioned on 30 December 2022.
