Beautiful Life (Shy Nobleman Album)
''Beautiful Life'' is the second studio album by Israeli indie rock artist Shy Nobleman, released on November 2005. The lyrics of the album based mostly around the break-up of Nobleman with his girlfriend at the time. The album was noted to be a departure from the more psychedelic pop sound of the first album, being more upbeat and more hard rock influenced, with the sound being a mix of power pop with psychedelic rock. The album proved to be very successful in Israel, charting at the Top 10 and becoming the most successful indie rock album at the time. Four singles were released from the album: "Girlfriend", "Baby in the Rain", "2 Could Be Better Than 1" and "Wonderful/ Beautiful Life". The first two of them were promoted with music videos. Psychedelic Pop
Psychedelic pop (or acid pop) is a genre of pop music that contains musical characteristics associated with psychedelic music. Developing in the mid-to-late 1960s, elements included " trippy" features such as fuzz guitars, tape manipulation, backwards recording, sitars, and Beach Boys-style harmonies, wedded to melodic songs with tight song structures. The style lasted into the early 1970s. It has seen revivals in subsequent decades by neo-psychedelic artists. Characteristics According to AllMusic, psychedelic pop was not too "freaky", but also not very " bubblegum" either. It appropriated the effects associated with straight psychedelic music, applying their innovations to concise pop songs. Saul Eshet
Saul (; , ; , ; ) was a monarch of ancient Israel and Judah and, according to the Hebrew Bible and Old Testament, the first king of the United Monarchy, a polity of uncertain historicity. His reign, traditionally placed in the late eleventh century BCE, according to the Bible, marked the transition of the Israelites from a scattered tribal society ruled by various judges to organized statehood. Rockfour
Rockfour () is a psychedelic rock band, formed in 1988 in Holon, Israel. Most of their catalog is in English, and they regularly tour the United States. History Early years Rockfour began writing and performing in Hebrew, and in 1991 released a single, "Haka'as" ("The Rage"), which did well on the Israeli rock charts. After undergoing several lineup and stylistic changes, they settled on what would remain a fairly stable musical identity in 1995 with their second studio album, '' Ha'ish Shera'a Hakol'' (The Man Who Saw It All). The music of the album was firmly rooted in 1960's psychedelic rock and the band used vintage instruments and recording equipment. Yotam Ben Horin (; born February 17, 1979, in Haifa, Israel) is an Israeli musician best known for his work as the lead singer and bassist for Israeli punk rock band Useless ID, as well as a solo artist releasing music closer to the indie/alternative rock scene. Most recently, he is also known for his work as an additional guitarist and backing vocalist for Israeli classic rock band Kaveret on their 2013 reunion performances. Geva Alon
Geva Alon (; born 30 May 1979) is an Israeli blues/folk music, folk/rock musician and singer-songwriter. Biography Geva Alon was born and raised in Kibbutz Ma'abarot, Israel, Ma'abarot. He began playing guitar at the age of 12, and in the year 2000 became the founding member of the rock trio ''The Flying Baby'' which achieved relative success in Israel and while touring the US. The band released two albums: ''Inner World'' (2002) and ''Pain to Give'' (2004). In 2004 he joined the Israeli indie rock singer, Shy Nobleman, with whom he played for three years. Ynet (stylized in all lowercase) is an Israeli news and general-content website, and the online outlet for the '' Yedioth Ahronoth'' newspaper. History Ynet launched on June 6, 2000, in Hebrew, following other Hebrew outlet's website launches including ''Haaretz'', Maariv and '' Globes''.
