Carlo Campogalliani (10 October 1885 – 10 August 1974) was an Italian screenwriter, actor and film director. Campogalliani directed around eighty films during his career and acted in another fifty. Maria Fiore (1 October 1935 – 28 October 2004) was an Italian film and television actress. She appeared in 50 films between 1952 and 1999. Life and career Born Jolanda Di Fiori in Rome, in spite of a non-professional acting background, she made her film debut in a leading role, in the Renato Castellani's pink-neorealist film '' Two Cents Worth of Hope''. Following the success of the film she was one of the most requested actresses until the first half of the 1960s, even if often cast in stock roles of impulsive and genuine low-class girls. Virgilio Riento (29 November 1889 – 7 September 1959) was an Italian actor and comedian. He appeared in 108 films between 1936 and 1959. Life and career The son of a theatrical impresario, Riento made his debut on stage as a child, as an impersonator of Nicola Maldacea. A member of the Compagnia Lillipuziana stage company, he got his first personal success with the play ''Roma di notte'' (1911). In the first post-war, he got a large success in avanspettacolo with several macchiette, notably the Abruzzo peasant Donato Collacchione, and with the Michele Galdieri's comedy play ''È bello qualche volta andare a piedi'' (1941), alongside Tina Pica.
