Kentaro Asahi
is a Japanese professional beach volleyball player and politician. He was born in Kumamoto, Kumamoto Prefecture, Kyushu, Japan. Asahi played as a center for the Japan men's national volleyball team in the 1990s. He ended up in sixteenth place at the 1998 World Championship, and later on started a career in beach volleyball. Asahi and teammate Katsuhiro Shiratori represented Japan in beach volleyball at the 2008 and 2012 Summer Olympics. Asahi began to work for the IT company Forval Corporation in 2011 through a Japanese Olympic Committee athlete hiring program. Zhang Xi (beach Volleyball)
Zhang Xi (simplified Chinese: 张希; traditional Chinese: 張希; pinyin: Zhāng Xī; born 19 April 1985) is a Chinese beach volleyball player. She won the bronze medal in the women's team competition at the 2008 Summer Olympics, and the gold medal at the 2013 Beach Volleyball World Championships, partnering with Xue Chen. In 2004, she moved on to start playing full-time in the Swatch FIVB World Tour. In 2006, she began to team up with Xue Chen in the SWATCH tournament season. After finishing the tournament she went back to study at the Physical Education Unit of Jiangsu Province in China. In 2008, Zhang was named as the FIVB Most Outstanding Player. Xue Chen
Xue Chen (; born 18 February 1989) is a Chinese beach volleyball player. A 4-time Olympian, she won the bronze medal alongside Zhang Xi at the women's beach volleyball tournament of the 2008 Summer Olympics. In 2013, she won the gold medal also with Zhang at the FIVB Beach Volleyball World Championships, the first and only Asian team to do so. Her hometown is Fuzhou, but she trains in Sanya, Hainan.
