Bastard Sons of Johnny Cash are an Americana/alternative country band formed in San Diego, California, in 1995. It is led by singer Mark Stuart. They received permission to use Cash's name by Cash himself and were then personally invited to record songs for their first CD '' Walk Alone'' at Cash's home in Hendersonville, Tennessee. The Bastard Sons of Johnny Cash have opened for Merle Haggard, and Willie Nelson at his annual 4th of July concert, and shared the stage with such notables as Buck Owens, John Hiatt, Lucinda Williams, George Jones, and Steve Earle. Artemis Records was a New York–based independent record label, founded in June 1999 by Danny Goldberg with Daniel Glass as president, and closed in April 2006. Buzz Campbell is an American guitarist, vocalist and songwriter. He plays anything that is close to Rockabilly music, Blues, Swing, Country & Rock & roll. Campbell is also a songwriter. George Jones
George Glenn Jones (September 12, 1931 – April 26, 2013) was an American Country music, country musician, singer, and songwriter. He achieved international fame for a long list of hit records, and is well known for his distinctive voice and phrasing. For the last two decades of his life, Jones is frequently referred to as "the greatest country singer", "The Rolls-Royce Motor Cars, Rolls-Royce of Country Music", and had more than 160 chart singles to his name from 1955 until his death in 2013. He served in the United States Marine Corps and was discharged in 1953. In 1959, Jones recorded "White Lightning (The Big Bopper song), White Lightning", written by The Big Bopper, which launched his career as a singer.
