Patrick Baumann (basketball)
Patrick Baumann (5 August 196713 October 2018) was a Swiss basketball executive, player and coach. He was the President of the Global Association of International Sports Federations and Secretary General of the International Basketball Federation (FIBA). He was posthumously inducted into the Basketball Hall of Fame in 2020. Background Baumann was born in Basel on 5 August 1967. He was involved in many aspects of the basketball world. He played basketball while in Italy and also served as a referee. In Switzerland, he trained referees, coached a basketball team, ran clinics and organized tournaments. FIBA Baumann joined FIBA in 1994 and became the Deputy Secretary General in 1995. He was elevated to the position of Secretary General in 2002, with his term officially starting in 2003. 2015 FIBA Oceania Championship
The 2015 FIBA Oceania Championship for Men was the 22nd edition of the FIBA Oceania Championship. The tournament featured a two-game series between Australia and New Zealand. It also served as the qualifying tournament of FIBA Oceania for basketball at the 2016 Summer Olympics in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. The first game was held in Melbourne, Australia on August 15, followed by the second game in Wellington, New Zealand on August 18. The 2014 FIBA Basketball World Cup was the 17th edition of the FIBA Basketball World Cup, the tournament previously known as the FIBA World Championship. Jerry Colangelo (born November 20, 1939) is an American businessman and sports executive. He formerly owned the Phoenix Suns of the NBA, the Phoenix Mercury of the WNBA, the Arizona Sandsharks of the Continental Indoor Soccer League, the Arizona Rattlers of the Arena Football League, and the Arizona Diamondbacks of Major League Baseball.
