Lincoln County is a County (United States), county in the U.S. state of Nevada. As of the 2020 United States census, 2020 census, the population was 4,499, making it the fourth-least populous county in Nevada. Its county seat is Pioche, Nevada, Pioche. The Yucca Mountain Nuclear Waste Repository, as designated by the Nuclear Waste Policy Act amendments of 1987, is a proposed deep geological repository storage facility within Yucca Mountain for spent nuclear fuel and other high-level radioactive waste in the United States. The site is on federal land adjacent to the Nevada Test Site in Nye County, Nevada, about northwest of the Las Vegas Valley. Robert William Bishop (born July 13, 1951) is an American politician who served as the U.S. representative for from 2003 to 2021.
