Bash At The Beach
Bash at the Beach was a yearly professional wrestling pay-per-view (PPV) event produced by World Championship Wrestling (WCW). It was the company's PPV for the month of July, held from 1994–2000. As the title implied, the show centered on a beach theme. Due to its beach theme, the stage where wrestlers made their entrances was decorated with beach related items, such as surfboards and sand. The beach theme lended to its summer scheduling of July. The theme was also reflected in the places where WCW chose to hold the event; all of the shows emanated from cities in either Florida or California, two U.S. states renowned for their warm weather. Bash At The Beach (1994)
The 1994 Bash at the Beach was the inaugural Bash at the Beach professional wrestling pay-per-view (PPV) event produced by World Championship Wrestling (WCW). It took place on July 17, 1994, from the Orlando Arena in Orlando, Florida. In 1992 and 1993, WCW held a beach-themed pay-per-view show known as Beach Blast, which was the forerunner to Bash at the Beach. The 1992 show was held in June, however, as the company elected instead to reserve July for its flagship summertime extravaganza, The Great American Bash. Along with Slamboree, Starrcade, SuperBrawl, The Great American Bash, and Halloween Havoc, Bash at the Beach was booked to be one of WCW's flagship events. Bash At The Beach (2000)
The 2000 Bash at the Beach was the seventh and final Bash at the Beach professional wrestling pay-per-view (PPV) event produced by World Championship Wrestling (WCW). It took place on July 9, 2000 from the Ocean Center in Daytona Beach, Florida. As of 2023, the event is available on the WWE Network. Event Scott Steiner was disqualified when he used the Steiner Recliner, which had previously been banned. WCW Commissioner Ernest Miller stripped Steiner of the WCW United States Championship following the match. Vampiro won the Graveyard match when the Demon did not show up to the ring; most of this match was pre-taped before the show at an outdoor location. Kevin Nash faced Goldberg in the tenth match, in which Scott Hall's WCW contract was on the line (though Hall actually left WCW earlier in the year). Bash At The Beach (1995)
The 1995 Bash at the Beach was the second Bash at the Beach professional wrestling pay-per-view (PPV) event produced by World Championship Wrestling (WCW). It took place on July 16, 1995 on the beach in Huntington Beach, California. Ten professional wrestling matches took place at the event, nine of which were broadcast live on pay-per-view. In the main event, Hulk Hogan defeated Big Van Vader to retain the WCW World Heavyweight Championship, marking Vader's final WCW pay-per-view match. Also featured was Sting defeating Meng to retain the WCW United States Heavyweight Championship, and Harlem Heat defeating The Nasty Boys and The Blue Bloods to retain the WCW World Tag Team Championship. Halloween Havoc is a professional wrestling List of NWA/WCW closed-circuit events and pay-per-view events, event currently produced by WWE. Since 2020, it has been held annually for the company's WWE brand extension, developmental brand, NXT (WWE brand), NXT. As the name implies, it is a Halloween-themed show held in October. It was originally produced as an annual pay-per-view (PPV) event by World Championship Wrestling (WCW) from 1989 until 2000. The first two events were held when WCW was still affiliated with the National Wrestling Alliance (NWA) before WCW split from the NWA in January 1991. Kevin Francis Sullivan (October 26, 1949 – August 9, 2024) was an American professional wrestler and booker, best known for his role in World Championship Wrestling.
