Alfred Barry Williams (7 February 1928 – August 2005) was a British boilermaker, trade union official, and Communist politician in the United Kingdom. Life He was one of three children of Elizabeth and Alfred John Williams; his father was also a boilermaker. He was the first of three children, born on 7 February 1928 in Liverpool, Lancashire (now Merseyside), England. He grew up in Liverpool and served an apprenticeship as a boilermaker at the firm of Francis Morton & Co. Engineers in Garston, Liverpool, Garston, Liverpool, England. Williams was drafted for National Service in the United Kingdom, National Service in the British Army, British Army's Royal Army Medical Corps, RAMC in 1946 and was posted to Palestine as part of the force administering the Mandate for Palestine, British Mandate. Barry Williams (spree Killer)
Barry Kenneth Williams (1944 – 24 December 2014), known since 1994 as Harry Street, was a British spree killer. A foundry worker who lived with his parents, he shot eight people in the English Midlands towns of West Bromwich and Nuneaton in little over an hour on 26 October 1978, killing five. Following a high-speed car chase, he was arrested and in 1979 was convicted of manslaughter on the grounds of diminished responsibility. He was detained in high-security hospitals under mental health legislation. After being given a conditional release in 1994, he changed his name, moved to Wales, and married. In 2014, following allegations of harassment against his neighbours, he was convicted of further firearms offences. He was again ordered to be detained in a secure hospital, with little likelihood of release, and died in December 2014. Barry Williams (born 5 March 1947) is a British retired international athlete who competed at the 1972 Summer Olympics. Biography Williams, a member of the Liverpool Harriers, represented England and won a bronze medal in the hammer throw, at the 1970 British Commonwealth Games in Edinburgh, Scotland. Williams finished second behind Howard Payne in the hammer throw event at the 1971 AAA Championships but the following year became the British hammer throw champion after winning the British AAA Championships title at the 1972 AAA Championships. Shortly afterwards Williams represented Great Britain at the 1972 Olympics Games in Munich, where he participated in the men's hammer throw. Barry Justyn Williams (10 November 1938 – 20 January 2018) was a skeptic and writer, who was the president of the Australian Skeptics from 1986 until 1997. In 1997 he became the first paid Australian skeptic when he took on the role of Executive Officer of the Australian Skeptics. He was involved in many investigations of paranormal claims and the editor of '' The Skeptic'' magazine for 18 years. Williams was often called on by Australian media outlets for comments relating to paranormal claims.
