Barnaby Jones
''Barnaby Jones'' is an American detective television series starring Buddy Ebsen as a formerly retired investigator and Lee Meriwether as his widowed daughter-in-law, who run a private detective firm in Los Angeles, California. The show was originally introduced as a midseason replacement on the CBS network and ran from 1973 to 1980. Halfway through the series' run, Mark Shera was added to the cast as a much younger cousin of Ebsen's character, who eventually joined the firm. ''Barnaby Jones'' was produced by QM Productions (with Woodruff Productions in the final two seasons). It had the second-longest QM series run (seven and a half seasons), following the nine years of ''The FBI''. The series followed the characteristic Quinn Martin episode format with commercial breaks dividing each episode into four "acts," concluding with an epilogue. Lloyd Bochner
Lloyd Wolfe Bochner (July 29, 1924 – October 29, 2005) was a Canadian actor. He appeared in many Canadian and Hollywood productions between the 1950s and 1990s, including the films ''Point Blank'' (1967), '' The Detective'' (1968), '' The Young Runaways'' (1968), '' Ulzana's Raid'' (1972) and '' Satan's School for Girls'' (1973), and the television prime time soap opera ''Dynasty'' (1981-82). Lou Shaw (c. 1925 – February 11, 2015) was an American producer and screenwriter. He was known for co-creating the medical drama ''Quincy, M.E.'' with Glen A. Larson. Phillip Pine (July 16, 1920 – December 22, 2006) was an American film and television actor, writer, film director, and producer. Despite incorrect biographical information repeated on many entertainment sites, he was not related to Robert Pine or Chris Pine. In a career that spanned seven decades, Pine in 1955 portrayed the outlaw John Wesley Hardin in the ninth episode "John Wesley Hardin" of the ABC/Desilu Western television series, ''The Life and Legend of Wyatt Earp'', starring Hugh O'Brian in the title role.
