Malik Barkat Ali (1 April 1886 – 5 April 1946) was an Indian Muslim politician, lawyer and journalist. Early life and career Malik Barkat Ali was born on 1 April 1885 in Lahore, Punjab, British India, into a middle-class Pashtun-Kakazai family. Abu Anees Muhammad Barkat Ali Ludhianvi (ابو انیس محمد برکت علی لودھیانوی) (27 April 1911 – 26 January 1997) was a Muslim Sufi who belonged to these well-known Qadiriyya, Chishti order and Naqshbandi spiritual orders. In total he belonged to 14 spiritual orders. He was the founder of the non-political, non-profit, religious organisation, ''Dar-ul-Ehsan''. Abu Anees's followers spread all around the world and especially in Pakistan. He spent his whole life preaching Islam. He made first Quran Mahal in Pakistan. A large number of people including politicians and officers come to Darul Ehsaan to meet Sufi Barkat Ali. His tomb is situated 16 km far from Faisalabad near dasuha on Faisalabad–Samundri Road Faisalabad. Every year, eye camps are arranged at Darul Ehsan in which free eye treatments are provided for many people every year in the month of March and October. Prince Mukarram Jah
Nizam Mir Barkat Ali Khan Siddiqi Mukarram Jah, Asaf Jah VIII (6 October 1933 – 15 January 2023), less formally known as Mukarram Jah, was the titular Nizam of Hyderabad between 1967 and 1971. He was the head of the House of Asaf Jah until he died in 2023. Born as the eldest son of Azam Jah and Dürrüşehvar Sultan, he was named successor to the title of Nizam of Hyderabad by his grandfather Mir Osman Ali Khan. Upon Osman's death in 1967, he became the titular Nizam. He lost his titles and the privy purses in 1971 when the 26th Amendment to the Indian constitution was passed. Jah subsequently moved to Australia, where he stayed at the Murchison House Station. While the prince remained in Australia, his palaces in Hyderabad were encroached upon and fell into disrepair. Numerous divorce settlements and failed business ventures led to the loss of the majority of his fortune. In 1996, he moved to Turkey where he remained until he died in 2023.
