Barbie And The Sensations
Barbie and the Rockers (known as Barbie and the Rockstars in European areas) is a doll line created in the mid-1980s by Mattel to compete with Hasbro's popular Jem doll line. They were on the market for roughly 3 years; a direct-to-video special, titled '' Barbie and the Rockers: Out of This World'', was released in 1987. The characters include Diva (a Scottish-Irish-American redhead), Dana (a Korean-American), Dee-Dee (an African-American), and Derek; Ken joined the band in later waves. Giovanni Giorgio Moroder (, ; born 26 April 1940) is an Italian composer and music producer. Dubbed the "Honorific nicknames in popular music, Father of Disco", Moroder is credited with pioneering Euro disco and electronic dance music. His work with synthesizers had a significant influence on several music genres such as hi-NRG, Italo disco, synth-pop, new wave, house, and techno music. ''Maxie's World'' is an American animated children's television program produced by DIC Animation City. Distributed by Claster Television and Saban International and originally aired in first-run syndication in the United States from September 18, 1989 through October 30, 1989. The Osmonds
The Osmonds were an American family music group who reached the height of their fame in the early to mid-1970s. The group had its best-known configurations as a quartet (billed the Osmond Brothers) and a quintet (the Osmonds). The group has consisted of siblings who are all members of a family of musicians from Ogden, Utah, and have been in the public eye since the 1960s. The Osmond Brothers began as a barbershop quartet consisting of brothers Alan, Wayne, Merrill and Jay. Jill Barad (; née Elikann; born May 23, 1951) is an American businesswoman from New York City, who was CEO of Mattel from 1997 to 2000. Career Jill Barad graduated with a Bachelor of Arts degree in English Literature and Psychology from Queens College in New York. In college, she worked in cosmetics sales and then became brand manager for the full line of Coty products. After moving to Los Angeles, she was an account executive for the Max Factor brand at Wells, Rich, Greene/West advertising agency. She started working at Mattel as a product manager in 1981 and was named CEO and Chairman of the Board in 1997. Barad was one of four women to lead a Fortune 500 company at the time.
