Bobby Joe Banes Jr. (born April 7, 1967) is an American former professional football offensive tackle who played one season with the Indianapolis Colts of the National Football League (NFL). He was selected by the Houston Oilers in the eleventh round of the 1990 NFL draft after playing college football at the University of Houston. Early life and college Bobby Joe Banes Jr. was born on April 7, 1967, in Houston, Texas. He attended Klein High School in Klein, Texas. Banes was a four-year letterman for the Houston Cougars of the University of Houston from 1986 to 1989. He earned Associated Press first-team All-Southwest Conference honors during the 1989 season. Lisa Lou Banes (July 9, 1955 – June 14, 2021) was an American actress known for more than 80 film and television roles, as well as stage appearances on Broadway and elsewhere. Banes won a 1981 Theatre World Award for her performance as Alison Porter Off-Broadway in '' Look Back in Anger'' and, in 1984, was nominated for a Drama Desk Award for Best Featured Actress in a Play for ''Isn't it Romantic?''. Banes is a municipality and city in the Holguín Province of Cuba. Banes was an important area for the native Taino people before the conquest by Columbus. The town of Banes is visited by tourists from Guardalavaca as it is the nearest town to the resort, and both are in the municipality of Banes. A museum featuring the Taino culture is situated halfway between both towns. History The name comes from the inhabitants Taino language word ''Bani'', meaning "valley".
