Banda Primitiva Of Llíria
La Banda Primitiva of Llíria (Valencia, Spain) was founded in 1819 by the Franciscan father Antoni Albarracín Enguídanos. It is the oldest civil band in Spain. In 1888, the band participated for the first time in the Certamen de Bandas in Valencia and obtained the first prize. La Banda Primitiva has been awarded the first prize many times since then. The band has performed in concerts, civil and religious parades, as well as on television and radio programs, and has showcased its music across major Spanish cities and various countries, including Germany, Belgium, France, the Netherlands, and Switzerland, as well as in the United States (New York and Los Angeles) and China (Beijing and Shanghai). The Franciscans are a group of related organizations in the Catholic Church, founded or inspired by the Italian saint Francis of Assisi. Friar
A friar is a member of one of the mendicant orders in the Catholic Church. There are also friars outside of the Catholic Church, such as within the Anglican Communion. The term, first used in the 12th or 13th century, distinguishes the mendicants' itinerant apostolic character, exercised broadly under the jurisdiction of a superior general, from the older monastic orders' allegiance to a single monastery formalized by their vow of stability. A friar may be in holy orders or be a non-ordained brother. The most significant orders of friars are the Dominicans, Franciscans, Augustinians, and Carmelites. Sergiu Celibidache
Sergiu Celibidache (; ; 13 August 1996) was a Romanian people, Romanian Conducting, conductor, composer, musical theorist, and teacher. Educated in his native Romania, and later in Paris and Berlin, Celibidache's career in music spanned over five decades, including tenures as principal conductor of the Munich Philharmonic, the Berlin Philharmonic, the RAI National Symphony Orchestra, the Orchestre de Radio France, the Swedish Radio Symphony Orchestra and many other European orchestras such as the Stuttgart Radio Symphony Orchestra, the Danish National Symphony Orchestra or the London Symphony Orchestra. Odón Alonso
Odón Alonso Ordás (28 February 1925 – 21 February 2011) was a Spanish conducting, conductor and composer, best known for his film scores. Alonso was born at La Bañeza, León, Spain. He studied in Madrid, Siena, Salzburg and Vienna. His first engagements as a conductor date back to the years between 1952 and 1956 when he was performing with the orchestra and chorus of the Spanish National Radio station. In 1960 he took on the position of principal conductor at the Philharmonic Orchestra of Madrid; between 1968 and 1984, Alonso was musical director of the Radio Symphony Orchestra of the Spanish Broadcasting (''Orquesta Sinfónica de Radio Televisión Española''). From 1986 until 1994 he conducted the Symphonic Orchestra of Puerto Rico. He died in Madrid. Luis Cobos
Luis Cobos (born October 30, 1948) is a Spanish composer, conductor and musician. He is chairman of the management entity performers (AIE) and the chairman of the board of the Latin Academy of Recording Arts & Sciences. He was married to the singer Angel. Career Cobos initially began as an arranger and composer for a Los Angeles latin-soul aggregation called 'Conexión' who released a number of popular dance cuts and one album including "I will pray" from the late 1960s to the early 1970s. In addition Cobos and his orchestra ''The Philharmonic Beethoven'' contributed further arrangements on a variety of latin releases during the 1970s. Cobos' big break came in 1982 when he recorded his first solo studio album ''Zarzuela'' at Abbey Road Studios with the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra. Jan Cober
Jan Cober (born 1951) is a Dutch conductor and clarinet player. Life Jan Cober is the child of a musical family from the village of Thorn, Netherlands. He played the clarinet in the ''Royal Harmony of Thorn''. He studied conducting and the clarinet at the Conservatory of Maastricht and completed both studies with a ''Prix d'Excellence''. Between 1972 and 1977, he was the first clarinet of the ''Nederlandse omroeporkest'' (Dutch broadcast orchestra), and starting in 1977, he was the solo clarinet player at the ''Residentie Orkest'' in The Hague. He has worked with famous conductors Willem van Otterloo and Ferdinand Leitner. At an NOS broadcast course and competition for conductors led by Neeme Järvi, he entered the final rounds.
