Band Of Blue
The Band of Blue, also known as the MTSU Marching Band of Blue, is an organization on the campus of Middle Tennessee State University that puts on regular half-time shows during Middle Tennessee Blue Raiders football games, as well as performances in the community and several marching band exhibitions. Middle Tennessee State University (MTSU or MT) is a Public university, public research university in Murfreesboro, Tennessee. Founded in 1911 as a normal school, the university consists of eight Undergraduate education, undergraduate colleges as well as a college of Postgraduate education, graduate studies, together offering more than 300 degree programs through more than 35 departments. The Middle Tennessee Blue Raiders football is the intercollegiate football program representing Middle Tennessee State University in Murfreesboro, Tennessee. The Blue Raiders compete in the Football Bowl Subdivision (FBS) of the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) and are a member of Conference USA. They are coached by Derek Mason, who was hired as the 15th head coach in program history on December 6, 2023. Middle Tennessee has appeared in 13 bowl games and seven I-AA playoffs.
