Bai Jianjun
Bai Jianjun (; born January 1958) is a lieutenant general in the People's Liberation Army of China. He was a delegate to the 13th National People's Congress. Biography Bai was born in Xuzhou, Jiangsu, in January 1958, and graduated from the Military Academy of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Russia. He was deputy head of the in 2003 and deputy commander of the 54th Group Army in 2006. In March 2008, he succeeded Zhang Shibo as commander of the 20th Group Army, leading his troops to participate in 2008 Sichuan earthquake relief work. 20th Group Army
The 20th Group Army is a military formation of the People's Liberation Army Ground Force, stationed in the Jinan Military Region. It consists of two manoeuvre brigades with other attached or otherwise organic units. For some time after its formation in 1949, the army consisted of three divisions. Rao Kaixun (; born April 1964) is a lieutenant general in the People's Liberation Army of China. In July 2019 he has been placed under investigation by the PLA's anti-corruption agency. Previously he served as deputy commander of the People's Liberation Army Strategic Support Force. He was promoted to the rank of major general (shao jiang) in 2010 and lieutenant general ( zhong jiang) in 2017. Education Rao was born in Yuexi County, Sichuan, in April 1964. Qi Jianguo
Qi Jianguo (; born August 1952) is a retired general of the Chinese People's Liberation Army. He served as Deputy Chief of the Joint Staff from 2012 to 2016. He formerly served as Commander of the 12th Group Army. A participant in the Sino-Vietnamese conflicts, he is one of the few serving PLA generals with battle experience. Biography Qi Jianguo was born in August 1952 in Wendeng, Shandong Province. In his early years he worked as a sent-down youth in Dengzhou, Henan Province. Major general (abbreviated MG, maj. gen. and similar) is a military rank used in many countries. It is derived from the older rank of sergeant major general. The disappearance of the "sergeant" in the title explains the apparent confusion of a lieutenant general outranking a major general, whereas a major outranks a lieutenant. In the Commonwealth and in the United States, when appointed to a field command, a major general is typically in command of a division consisting of around 6,000 to 25,000 troops (several regiments or brigades).
