Bahadurgarh
Bahadurgarh is a city, nearby Jhajjar, is located in Jhajjar district in the Indian state of Haryana. The city comprises 31 wards and is approximately 21 km from National Capital Territory (NCT) of Delhi and 31 km from Jhajjar, the district headquarter. It is one of the major cities of Haryana and is surrounded by the major NCR cities of Faridabad, Gurugram and Sonipat. Bahadurgarh is also known as the "Gateway of Haryana". History The city was founded by Mughal Emperor Alamgir II, who was the Sultan of Delhi from 1754 to 1759. He gave the town in ''jagir'' to Bahadur Khan and Tej Khan, Baloch rulers of Farrukhnagar in 1754, who changed its name from Sharafabad to Bahadurgarh. One of their ruler, Bahadur Khan, constructed a fort in 1793 CE and named it Bahadurgarh Fort. Baloch Nawabs were defeated by Maratha forces and Bahadurgarh came into the hands of Sindhia in 1793. Jhajjar District
Jhajjar district is one of the 22 districts of Haryana state in northern India. Carved out of Rohtak district on 15 July 1997 and with its headquarters in Jhajjar, it lies from Delhi and had developed into an important industrial center. Other towns in the district are Bahadurgarh and Badli and Beri. Bahadurgarh is the major city of the district and state. Bahadurgarh is known as 'The City of Destiny'. Beri used to be a village fifty years ago. The district occupies an area of and its population was 709,000. It has two industrial areas with over 3300 industries. The National Capital Region (NCR) is a planning region centred upon the National Capital Territory (NCT) of Delhi in India. It encompasses Delhi and several districts surrounding it from the states of Haryana, Uttar Pradesh and Rajasthan. Jhajjar
Jhajjar is a town in Jhajjar district in the Indian state of Haryana. The city is situated on the road connecting Rewari to Rohtak (NH-352), Loharu to Meerut (NH334B), Charkhi Dadri to Delhi and Gurgaon to Bhiwani. Jhajjar is located west of Delhi. Jhajjar is famous for valour and courage of its soldiers in defence forces. Mainly Jhajjar is well known for a larger percentage of youngsters joining Indian Army. Former Army Chief General Dalbir Singh Suhag is a well known example from Jhajjar. Sonipat
Sonipat is a city, municipal corporation and administrative headquarter in Sonipat district of Haryana state of India. It comes under the National Capital Region and is around from New Delhi. It is also around 214 km (128 miles) southwest of Chandigarh, the state capital. The Yamuna River runs along the eastern boundary. On 22 December 1972, Sonipat was created a full-fledged district. Sonipat Junction railway station is the main railway junction on Delhi-Kalka line.
