''Bad Since '97'' is the second studio extended play by Nigerian singer-songwriter BNXN, formerly known as Buju. It was released on 26 August 2022 by TYE and distributed by Empire Distribution. The EP features guest appearances from Wizkid, Olamide and Wande Coal and combines elements from R&B, Afro Fusion, Afrobeats, and Afropop with Neo-soul percussive rhythms. Daniel Benson (born 14 May 1997), known professionally as Bnxn (pronounced as Benson) and formerly known as Buju, is a Nigerian Afro-fusion singer, songwriter and record producer. Early life He was born in Lagos. He hails from Akwa Ibom state. He was previously signed to Burna Boy's Spaceship Records, He grew up in Gbagada with his family, relocating to Ogun State. Afro-fusion
Afrobeats (not to be confused with Afrobeat or Afroswing), or Afro-pop or Afro-fusion (or Afropop or Afrofusion), is an umbrella term to describe popular music from West Africa and the diaspora that initially developed in Nigeria, Ghana, and the UK in the 2000s and 2010s. Afrobeats is less of a style per se, and more of a descriptor for the fusion of sounds flowing out of Ghana and Nigeria.
