The Babys are a British rock group best known for their songs " Isn't It Time" and "Every Time I Think of You". Both songs were composed by Jack Conrad and Ray Kennedy, and each reached No. 13 on the U.S. ''Billboard'' Hot 100 and No. 8 on the '' Cashbox'' chart in the late 1970s. "Back on My Feet Again" also reached the U.S. Top 40 in 1980. The original Babys line-up consisted of founding member keyboardist/guitarist Michael Corby, and in order of joining the group, vocalist/bassist John Waite, drummer Tony Brock and guitarist Wally Stocker. The group signed a contract with Chrysalis Records that was the highest ever for a new music act at the time. Two studio albums, ''The Babys'' and ''Broken Heart'', were well received. Pop rock (also typeset as pop/rock) is a fusion genre and form of rock music characterized by a strong commercial appeal, with more emphasis on professional songwriting and recording craft, and less emphasis on attitude than standard rock music. ''Supersonic'' was a British television music show, which featured pop music artists of the day, one of the many attempts by ITV to equal the success of the BBC's ''Top of the Pops''. Launched in 1975, the show typically lasted 25 minutes (excluding commercials) and was produced by London Weekend Television for the ITV network, running for two years. The programme was rarely, if ever, seen at the same time in all ITV regions. ''Hit Parader'' was an American music magazine that operated between 1942 and 2008. A monthly publication, it focused on rock and pop music in general until the 1970s, when its focus began turning to hard rock and heavy metal. Spontaneous Combustion were an English progressive rock band formed in 1968 in Poole, Dorset, with brothers Gary Margetts (guitar, Mellotron, lead vocals) and Tris Margetts (bass, VCS3, vocals), and Tony Brock (drums, piano, vocals). The band released three albums and four singles working with producers Greg Lake, Robert Fripp, Robert Kirby, and Conny Plank before ending in 1981 when Tris Margetts became bassist in the Greg Lake Band with Gary Moore. Lucas Fox (born 25 February 1953) is an English drummer who was a founding member of British rock band Motörhead and London punk rock band Warsaw Pakt. Career Motörhead In 1975, Fox picked up Lemmy from London Airport after he was sacked from Hawkwind. Lemmy, Fox and Larry Wallis started a new band named Bastards, however the band's name was quickly changed to Motörhead following a suggestion by the band's manager Doug Smith. The band started by supporting Greenslade at the roundhouse on 20 July performing cover versions except ‘Motörhead’ (Lemmy), ‘On Parole’ and ‘City Kids’ (Larry Wallis).
