BMW I Vision Dee
The BMW i Vision Dee is an electric concept car marketed by the German car manufacturer BMW. It is a model of the BMW i sub-brand. It is expected to reach production by 2025. History On 4 January 2023, BMW presented the i Vision Dee at the Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas. According to BMW CEO Oliver Zipse, the car "demonstrates the possibilities that the combination of hardware and software opens up". This allows the driver to use the digital potential. According to the CEO, the design was inspired by an old chessboard from 1967. The central control is a mixed reality slider that transforms the windshield into a portal of digital experiences periodically. Shy-Tech technology touch sensors allow the vehicle owner to set digital content levels. Concept Car
A concept car (also known as a concept vehicle, show vehicle or prototype) is a car made to showcase new styling and/or new technology. They are often exhibited at motor shows to gauge customer reaction to new and radical designs which may or may not be mass-produced. General Motors designer Harley Earl is generally credited with inventing the concept car, and did much to popularize it through its traveling Motorama shows of the 1950s. Concept cars never go into production directly. In modern times all would have to undergo many changes before the design is finalized for the sake of practicality, safety, regulatory compliance, and cost. BMW Vision Neue Klasse
The BMW Vision Neue Klasse is a concept car unveiled at the IAA Mobility 2023. The design is an evolution of the i Vision Dee concept that debuted at CES 2023. Overview The Vision Neue Klasse is an electric concept car that previews the design of the next generations of BMWs. The linear design of the body features a "shark nose" that is tilted forward, 21-inch "aerodynamic wheels", and automatic opening and closing doors that are activated by sensors. A new front fascia is adopted in which the headlights are placed inside BMW's traditional kidney grille, and the taillights have a design with depth and breadth, with 3D printed light elements. BMW I
The BMW i is a sub-brand of BMW founded in 2011 to design and manufacture plug-in electric vehicles. The company initially released two vehicles: the i3 all-electric car and the i8 plug-in hybrid. The all-electric iX3 SUV was released in late 2020, while iX SUV and the i4 all-electric liftback sedan followed later in 2021. Oliver Zipse
Oliver Zipse (born 7 February 1964) is a German manager who has been serving as Chairman of the Board of Management (CEO) of BMW since 16 August 2019. Early life and education Zipse graduated from high school in Bensheim in 1983. He studied computer science and mathematics at the University of Utah in Salt Lake City from 1983 to 1985 without obtaining a degree. In 1985 he switched to mechanical engineering at the Technische Universität Darmstadt and graduated in 1991 with a degree in mechanical engineering. BMW 3 Series
The BMW 3 Series is a line of compact executive cars manufactured by the German automaker BMW since May 1975. It is the successor to the 02 Series and has been produced in seven generations. The first generation of the 3 Series was only available as a 2-door saloon; however, the model range has since expanded to include a 4-door saloon, 2-door convertible, 2-door coupé, 5-door estate, 5-door liftback (" Gran Turismo") and 3-door hatchback body styles. Since 2013, the coupé and convertible models have been marketed as the 4 Series; therefore, the 3 Series range no longer includes these body styles.
