BC TEL Pacific Open
The Greater Vancouver Classic was a golf tournament that was held in the Greater Vancouver area, in British Columbia, Canada. Founded as the BC TEL Pacific Open in 1994, it was a direct replacement for the cancelled British Columbia Open on the Canadian Tour. In 2000 it was re-titled as the Telus Vancouver Open. For 2002, the tournament had agreed a new multi-year sponsorship deal with a lawn car company and was to have been titled the ''Perfectly Natural Classic'', but they backed out resulting in a great deal of discussion over a new unsponsored name. Lee Trevor Williamson (born 7 June 1982) is a retired professional footballer. Born in Derby he started his career at Mansfield Town before spending time at Northampton Town, Rotherham United, Watford, Preston North End, Sheffield United and Portsmouth before joining Blackburn. Michael Richard Weir, (born May 12, 1970) is a Canadian professional golfer. He currently plays on the PGA Tour Champions. He spent over 110 weeks in the top-10 of the Official World Golf Ranking between 2001 and 2005. Ken Staton
Kenneth Staton (born November 25, 1972) is an American professional golfer. Staton played college golf at Florida State University, where he was chosen after his senior year as an honorable mention All-American by the Golf Coaches Association of America. Staton began his professional career on the Canadian Tour, where he won six times. He finished second at the 2001 Qualifying school, giving him status on the PGA Tour. Stuart Orlando Scott (July 19, 1965 – January 4, 2015) was an American sportscaster and anchor on ESPN, most notably on ''SportsCenter''. Iain Steel (born 3 May 1971) is a Malaysian professional golfer. Career Steel was born in Sabah, Malaysia to a Scottish father and Malaysian mother. He went to Auburn University in the United States and turned professional in 1996. That year, he became the first Malaysian golfer ever to play in The Open Championship.
