BBD (album)
''BBD'' is the third studio album by American R&B group Bell Biv DeVoe, released in December 2001 through Biv 10 and Universal Records. It's the group's first recording since 1993's ''Hootie Mack''. Critical reception Jason Birchmeier from AllMusic said that despite some decent production, he was put off by the misogynistic slant in the group's brag and floss content, calling it "too harsh and too direct to be sexy €¦too one-dimensional to appeal to anyone who is disinterested in hearing three guys channel their frustrations towards submissive, generic women with no voice." He concluded that, " 's perhaps ironic that BBD's comeback album showcases precisely why the general public stopped caring about these guys in the first place. These guys went from " Candy Girl" to "Dance Bitch" and wonder why the masses grew weary." Barry Walters, writing for ''Vibe'', felt the record "sounds more like contract fulfilment than musical inspiration", pointing out the lewd material that was ...

Big Black Delta
Big Black Delta is a solo project by Mellowdrone vocalist/bassist Jonathan Bates. History Bates began the project in 2010, after becoming frustrated with the logistics of a band. Thanks to help from Alessandro Cortini of Nine Inch Nails, he discovered the possibilities of producing music on a laptop and set about building a new sound. In 2013, Bates released his debut album, '' Big Black Delta'', which contained a mix of fresh material and songs released on an early-release, limited-edition of the record, titled ''BBDLP1''. The album was issued on Bates' own label, Masters of Bates, and was inspired by the soundtracks of the films ''Blade Runner'' and ''Solaris''. It was positively received by critics and was compared by one reviewer to music from Muse and the Joy Formidable. Remixes of songs from the album have since come from Jimmy Edgar, John Tejada, Azari & III, and Martyn. The video for "Side of the Road", directed by Warren Kommers, was inspired by Bates' love of astrop ...

Beech Bark Disease
Beech bark disease is a disease that causes mortality and defects in beech trees in the eastern United States, Canada and Europe.Tainter, Frank H., and Fred A. Baker . Principles of Forest Pathology. New York, NY: John Wiley & Sons, Inc., 1996.Sinclair, Wayne A., and Howard H. Lyon. Diseases of Trees and Shrubs. 2nd ed. Ithaca, NY: Cornell University Press, 2005. In North America, the disease occurs after extensive bark invasion by ''Xylococculus betulae'' and the beech scale insect, ''Cryptococcus fagisuga''. Through a presently unknown mechanism, excessive feeding by this insect causes two different fungus, fungi (''Neonectria faginata'' (previously ''Nectria coccinea var. faginata'') and ''Neonectria ditissima'' (previously ''Nectria galligena'')) to produce annual cankers on the bark of the tree. The continuous formation of lesions around the tree eventually girdling, girdles it, resulting in canopy death. In Europe, ''N. coccinea'' is the primary fungus causing the infection ...

Bombardier Inc
Bombardier Inc. () is a Canadian aerospace manufacturer that produces business jets. Headquartered in Montreal, the company was founded in 1942 by Joseph-Armand Bombardier to market his snowmobiles, and it later became one of the world's biggest producers of aircraft and trains. During the 1970s and 1980s, the company diversified into rolling stock, public transport vehicles and airliner, commercial jets, and it became a multinational corporation. Bombardier grew particularly fast at the end of the 1980s, when the turnover multiplied sixfold within six years. At that time, it was North America's most important producer of railway vehicles, Canada's most important aerospace manufacturer and the worldwide leading snowmobile maker. The growth came mainly from buying failing government-owned companies at a low price and orchestrating a turnaround. Big Black Dog
Black dog syndrome or big black dog syndrome is a phenomenon in which black dogs are passed over for adoption in favor of lighter-colored animals. Black cats are similarly reported to be subject to the same phenomenon. While earlier studies found evidence for a lower adoption rate for black dogs, other studies found that they are adopted more quickly than dogs with lighter coat colors. This has led some experts to dismiss black dog syndrome as a 'myth'. Theories Initial research at one location identified a longer period experienced by black dogs before adoption, but subsequent studies considered to be more robust (as conducted in a larger number of geographically spread shelters) have shown that when shelter visitors video-recorded their walk through the adoption area, they spent equal amounts of time looking at every dog, regardless of coat color. Other studies have suggested brindle dogs may be more likely to experience longer delays before adoption than black dogs. Coat color ...

History Be-Bop Deluxe Be-Bop Deluxe were founded in Wakefield, West Yorkshire, England, by singer, guitarist and principal songwriter Bill Nelson in 1972. The founding line-up consisted of Nelson, guitarist Ian Parkin, bassist and vocalist Robert Bryan, drummer Nicholas Chatterton-Dew, and keyboardist Richard Brown (who left in December of that year). They started off playing the West Yorkshire pub scene, with one regular venue being the Staging Post in Whinmoor, Leeds. They never played bebop music, but instead came out of the blues-based British rock scene of the late 1960s. At first they were compared to the more successful David Bowie, but Nelson never tried to copy Bowie, and appears to have disliked comparisons or being pigeon-holed. After signing to EMI's Harvest Records subsidiary, the initial line-up of the band only lasted for on ...
