Seher Aydar (born 10 September 1989, Turkey) is a Norwegian politician of Kurdish descent. She is a member of the Red Party and was elected to the Norwegian Parliament (Storting) in the Parliamentary Elections of 2021. Early life and education Aydar was born into a family from Konya, where she lived until she migrated to Norway at the age of eleven. In Norway she grew up in Frederikstad. She has been working at a kindergarten and was politically active from an early age particularly in organizations focusing on women's and Kurdish rights. Zübeyir Aydar (born 1961) is a Kurdish politician, lawyer and Kurdistan Communities Union (KCK) Executive Council Member, making him the de jure political leader of the outlawed Kurdistan Workers' Party (PKK). Biography Born in Yanıkses village in the Eruh District of Siirt Province, he graduated from the Law Faculty of Istanbul University after which he worked as a lawyer in Siirt from 1986 to 1991. There he organized the local branch of the Turkish Human Rights Association (IHD) and joined the first Kurdish party in Turkey, the People's Labor Party (HEP). He was elected to the Grand National Assembly of Turkey in 1991 on a ticket with the Social Democratic Populist Party for the Siirt province. Aidar Battalion
24th Separate Assault Battalion "Aidar", also known as the Aidar Battalion, is an assault battalion of the Ukrainian Ground Forces. The unit was created in May 2014 by the name 24th Territorial Defense Battalion "Aydar" () and took part in the War in Donbas (2014–2022), war in Eastern Ukraine and had roughly 300-400 members in 2014. It was named after the Aidar River in the Luhansk region where it was initially deployed. It was disbanded in 2015 and reconstituted as the 24th Separate Assault Battalion of the Ukrainian Army, before being absorbed into the 10th Mountain Assault Brigade in 2016. In 2016 the Battalion was transferred to the 53rd Separate Mechanized Brigade. The Aydar Lake (, Айдар кўли; Haydar ko‘li, Ҳайдар кўли; alternate spellings: Lake Aydarkul, Lake Aidarkul) is part of the man-made Aydar-Arnasay system of lakes, which covers 4,000 square kilometres (1,500 mi2). This has 3 brackish water lakes (the two others being Arnasay and Tuzkan), deep basins of the south-eastern Kyzyl Kum (now in Uzbekistan and Kazakhstan). The lakes are expansive reservoirs of Soviet planning. Being brackish rather than saline they have high rates of evaporation, prompting a moist summer microclimate, often attracting rain clouds, which has led to the replenishment of the North Aral Sea.
