Awakened (Cast Novel)
''Awakened'' is the eighth volume of the ''House of Night'' fantasy series written by American authors P.C. Cast and Kristin Cast. The novel was published on January 4, 2011, by St. Martin's Press, an extension of Macmillan Publishers. Zoey has returned from the Otherworld and is spending time on Sgiach, learning of her powers. Kristin Cast
Kristin F. Cast (born November 4, 1986, in Japan) is an American author of young adult books and graphic novels, best known for the ''House of Night'' series and Sisters of Salem series, written with her mother, P. C. Cast. Early life Cast was born on an air force base in Japan, and raised in Oklahoma. Cast graduated from Broken Arrow Senior High School in 2005. She's explored tattoo modeling and broadcast journalism. Personal life Cast is biracial and has Nigerian ancestry. Some of her favorite authors are Pintip Dunn, Karin Slaughter, Nic Stone, VE Schwab, Caleb Roehrig, Justin Cronin, and Emily Suvada. She's a fan of the TV show True Blood. It Gets Better Project
It Gets Better is an Internet-based 501(c)3 nonprofit with a mission to uplift, empower, and connect lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, and queer (LGBTQ+) youth around the globe. It was founded in the United States by gay activist, author, media pundit, and journalist Dan Savage and his husband Terry Miller on September 21, 2010, in response to the List of LGBT-related suicides, suicides of teenagers who were bullied because they were gay or because their peers suspected that they were gay. Tyler Clementi
Tyler Clementi (December 19, 1991 – September 22, 2010) was an American student at Rutgers University–New Brunswick who jumped to his death from the George Washington Bridge over the Hudson River on September 22, 2010, at the age of 18. On September 19, 2010, without Clementi's knowledge, his roommate, Dharun Ravi, used a webcam on his dorm room computer and his hallmate Molly Wei's computer to view Clementi kissing another man. Clementi found out after Ravi posted about the webcam incident on Twitter. Two days later, Ravi urged friends and Twitter followers to watch a second encounter between Clementi and his companion, though the viewing never occurred. Ravi and Wei were both indicted for their roles in the webcam incidents, though they were not charged with a role in the suicide itself.
