Autograph (2004 Film)
''Autograph'' is a 2004 Indian Tamil language, Tamil-language romantic drama film written, produced and directed by Cheran (director), Cheran. The film's soundtrack is composed by Bharadwaj (composer), Bharadwaj. Cheran also plays the lead role in his film for the first time, and other cast members include Gopika, Sneha (actress), Sneha, Mallika (actress), Mallika and Kaniha. This is both Gopika's and Mallika's debut film in Tamil cinema. The film was released in India in February 2004, and was screened at the Lyon Asian Film Festival in France and at the Montreal World Film Festival in Canada. Upon release, the film met with critical acclaim and commercial success. Cheran (director)
Cheran (born 12 December 1970) is an Indian film director, producer, actor and lyricist known for his works in Tamil cinema. He is a three time National Film Award winner for ''Vetri Kodi Kattu'' (2000), ''Autograph'' (2004) and '' Thavamai Thavamirundhu'' (2005). He has also won five Tamil Nadu State Film Awards and six South Filmfare Awards. Roja Combines is an Indian film production and distribution company headed by Kaja Mydeen. The film had been a leading production studio in the Tamil film industry in the 1990s, but has struggled following the switch to digital film-making. History Roja Combines was launched and run by three separate producers in the 1990s – Kaja Mydeen, V. Gnanavel and Jayaprakash. Rajesh (20 December 1949 – 29 May 2025) was an Indian actor who performed in predominately Tamil films and serials. He completed more than 50 years in films and appeared as lead roles and supporting roles in over 150 films. Biography Rajesh was born on 20 December 1949 to Williams Nattar and Lily Grace Mankondar at Mannargudi, Tiruvarur district, but his family hails from Anaikkadu, in Thanjavur district. Ilavarasu is an Indian cinematographer and actor, who works in the Tamil film industry. He started his career as a cinematographer and worked for 13 films, winning a Tamil Nadu State Film Award for one of them.
