Atzmona Attack
An attack took place on the night of March 7, 2002 at the Otzem Pre-Military Preparatory School in the Israeli settlement of Atzmona in the Gaza Strip in which five of the seminary students were killed and twenty-three were injured. Background March 2002 was the deadliest month of the Second Intifada, known in Israel as "Black March". During the month, 135 people were killed in over a dozen attacks, and there was a suicide bombing once every two days on average. In addition to the Atzmona attack, notable attacks during the month included the Yeshivat Beit Yisrael bombing that killed 10 Israeli civilians on 2 March, the Wadi al-Haramiya sniper attack on 3 March that killed 10 Israelis, and the Café Moment bombing that killed 11 Israeli civilians on 9 March. Israeli Casualties Of War

Wissam Farhat
Wissam Abu Hussein Farhat (; 1974 – December 2, 2023) was a Head of Hamas's Shejaiya Battalion. He was the mastermind behind various attacks such as the Atzmona Attack, the Nahal Oz attack and more. Biography Wissam Farhat was born in 1974 to Umm Nidal. Three of his brothers -- Nidal, Muhammad, and Rawad were killed for their Hamas activities. Farhat was arrested on March 20, 1995 on charges of transporting 6 bags of explosives into Israel, which Israel alleged was an attempt to carry out a suicide bombing in Israel. He spent almost 11 years in Israeli prison, including 2 years in Ashkelon, 6 years in Nafha, and 2 and a half years in Hadarim. He was released from Israeli prison in November 2005, three weeks after his brother Rawad was killed by Israel. While in prison, Farhat learned of his younger brother Muhammad's participation in the Atzmona attack, in which Muhammad killed 5 Israeli civilians and wounded 12 others. Mohammed Dababish
Mohammed Khamis Dababish, also spelled Mohammed Dababesh (), also known as Abu-Ridwan (), from at least 2010 and until 2019, headed the General Security Service, the Palestinian Hamas's internal security service in the Gaza Strip. Israel states that Dababish was killed in Gaza on 13 November 2023 during the Gaza war. Biography Dababish was head of Hamas's internal security service (General Security Service) by 2010. Egyptian authorities arrested Dababish upon his arrival at Cairo International Airport on 16 September 2010. Umm Nidal
Maryam Mohammad Yousif Farhat (), or Mariam Farahat (1949 – 17 March 2013), more commonly known as Umm Nidal () was a Palestinian activist popularly known by Palestinians as the "Mother of Martyrs" for her support for her sons' involvement in attacks against Israel. Three of her sons were members of Hamas who conducted or participated in the organisation of attacks against Israeli civilian and/or military targets and were killed by Israeli forces, while she was still alive. (A fourth son, also a member of Hamas, was killed in the Gaza war more than a decade after her death.) She was a close associate of the Hamas leadership for over 2 decades. Izz Ad-Din Al-Qassam
(; 1881 or 19 December 1882 – 20 November 1935) was a Syrian Muslim preacher and a leader in the local struggles against British and French Mandatory rule in the Levant and an opponent of Zionism in the 1920s and 1930s. Qassam was born in Jableh, Syrian province of the Ottoman Empire in 1882. He studied at Al-Azhar University in Egypt and afterward became an Islamic revivalist preacher in his hometown. Following his return, he became an active supporter of the Libyan resistance to the Italian occupation starting 1911, raising funds and fighters to aid the Libyans and penning an anthem for them. He would later lead his own group of rebels in alliance with Ibrahim Hananu to fight against the French Mandate in northern Syria ratified on 29 September 1923.
