Atonement (Killswitch Engage Album)
''Atonement'' is the eighth studio album by American metalcore band Killswitch Engage, released on August 16, 2019 through Metal Blade Records, making it their first album since 2000 not to be released through Roadrunner Records. The lead single "Unleashed" was released on June 25, and followed by "I Am Broken Too" in July which would later follow up with a music video in August, as well as "The Signal Fire" shortly before the album's release. The band began a co-headlining tour of North America with Clutch in promotion of the album in July. In November 2019, the track "Unleashed" was nominated for the Grammy Award for "Best Metal Performance", making it the third Grammy nomination for Killswitch Engage. Killswitch Engage
Killswitch Engage is an American metalcore band from Westfield, Massachusetts, formed in 1999. The band's current lineup consists of vocalist Jesse Leach, guitarists Joel Stroetzel and Adam Dutkiewicz, bassist Mike D'Antonio, and drummer Justin Foley. Howard Jones (American singer), Howard Jones was the band's lead vocalist from 2002 to 2012. Leach was the band's founding vocalist but left after two albums. He was replaced by Jones, and Killswitch Engage rose to fame with its 2004 release ''The End of Heartache'', which peaked at number 21 on the Billboard 200, ''Billboard'' 200 and was RIAA certification, certified gold by the Recording Industry Association of America, RIAA for over 500,000 shipments in the United States. ''Consequence'' (previously ''Consequence of Sound'') is an independently owned New York-based online magazine featuring news, editorials, and reviews of music, movies, and television. History ''Consequence of Sound'' was founded in September 2007 by Alex Young, then a student at Fordham University in The Bronx, New York. Mike D'Antonio
Michael D'Antonio (born May 19, 1973) is an American musician, best known as the bass guitarist and founder of the metalcore band Killswitch Engage. He is also the founder and bassist of the bands Overcast and Death Ray Vision. Career D'Antonio's writing influences include old New York Hardcore bands like Cro-Mags, Leeway, Madball and Agnostic Front, and he cites Cliff Burton of thrash metal band Metallica and Harley Flanagan of the Cro-Mags as personal influences. D'Antonio formed the band Killswitch Engage after the demise of his band Overcast in 1998. All of Killswitch Engage's album artwork and tour merchandise is designed by D'Antonio, who is a graphic artist. Metacritic is an American website that aggregates reviews of films, television shows, music albums, video games, and formerly books. For each product, the scores from each review are averaged (a weighted average).
