The men's long jump at the 2022 Commonwealth Games, as part of the athletics programme, took place in the Alexander Stadium on 2 and 4 August 2022. For the third time, the gold and silver medallists achieved the same distance in this competition. The previous two occasions occurred in 1958 and 1998. Alexander Stadium is an athletics stadium in Perry Barr, Birmingham, United Kingdom. It is the largest athletics stadium in the United Kingdom. The stadium has four stands with a total seated capacity of 18,000. Kelsey Daniel (born 7 April 2003) is a long jumper from Trinidad and Tobago. He won the 2025 NCAA Indoor Championships. Andwuelle Wright (born 8 August 1997) is a Trinidad and Tobago long jumper. In the age-specific categories, he competed prolifically on regional level. He also competed at the 2013 World Youth Championships and the 2014 Youth Olympics without reaching the final. Henry Frayne (born 14 April 1990) is an Australian track and field athlete who competes in triple jump and long jump. He qualified for the 2020 Tokyo Olympics and finished 14th in qualifying with a distance of 7.93m, and did not qualify for the final. Frayne trains under Gary Bourne who also coaches or has coached Mitchell Watt, Chris Noffke, Jai Taurima and Bronwyn Thompson. Early years Frayne was South Australian born and raised but in 2007, as a 16-year-old, he followed his coach, Vasily Grishchenkov, and moved to Melbourne.
