Ataur Rahman Khan (; 6 March 1905 – 7 December 1991) was a Bangladeshi lawyer, politician and writer, who served as the Chief Minister of East Pakistan, chief minister of East Pakistan from 1 September 1956 – March 1958, and as the prime minister of Bangladesh from 30 March 1984 to 1 January 1985. Early life Ataur Rahman Khan was born on 1 July 1905 at Balia village, Dhamrai Thana, Dhaka district, Dhaka District, East Bengal, British India. He graduated from Pogose School in Dhaka in 1924. He then graduated from Jagannath College in 1927. He obtained a bachelor's degree in economics and law from the University of Dhaka in 1930 and 1936 respectively. Career Khan joined the Dhaka District Bar in 1937. He then joined the judicial branch of the Civil Service as a District Munsiff Court, munsiff in 1942 where he worked until 1944. Ataur Rahman Khan () is a Bangladesh Nationalist Party politician and a former member of parliament for Kishoreganj-3. Khan was a founding member of Harkat-ul-Jihad-al-Islami Bangladesh. Career Khan was a founding member of Harkat-ul-Jihad-al-Islami Bangladesh. In 1988, on a tour with senior leaders of Harkat-ul-Jihad-al-Islami Bangladesh, he visited Afghanistan and met with Osama bin Laden. They had flown to Pakistan where they were hosted by Qari Saifullah Akhtar and were driven by Abdur Rahman Shahi, a Bangladeshi mujahadeen, to Afghanistan. Khan was elected to parliament from Kishoreganj-3 as a Bangladesh Nationalist Party candidate in 1991. He received 57,671 votes while his nearest rival, Md. Fazlur Rahman of the Awami League, received 40,205 votes. Ataur Rahman Khan Kaiser
Ataur Rahman Khan Kaiser (7 September 1940 – 9 October 2010) was a Bangladesh Awami League politician and member of the National Assembly of Pakistan. Early life Kaiser completed his master's in political science from the University of Dhaka. Career Kaiser joined Awami League in 1969 after being inspired by Awami League politician M. A. Aziz. After the independence of Bangladesh, he was elected general secretary of the South Chittagong chapter of the Awami League. He was made Bangladesh's ambassador to Russia and South Korea. He was a presidium member of the Bangladesh Awami League. Death Kaiser was injured in a road accident while on his way to the funeral of Osman Sarwar Alam Chowdhury on 28 August 2010. Ataur Rahman Khan Khadim
Atta ur Rehman Khan was an academic in the Bangladesh Liberation War and is considered a martyr in Bangladesh. Early life Khadim was born in Kharampur, Akhaura, Brahmanbaria District, in 1933. He graduated from George H. E. School in 1948 and Dhaka College in 1950. He completed his master's degree in physics from Dhaka University in 1954. Career After graduation, Khadim joined Philips Electric Company as an electrical engineer in 1955. From 1959 to 1960, he studied theoretical physics at the physics institute of the University of Göttingen in West Germany. After completion, he joined Dhaka University as a lecturer, where he specialized in experimental physics and electronics.
