Aughton is a village and former civil parish, now in the parish of Ellerton, East Riding of Yorkshire, Ellerton, in the East Riding of Yorkshire, England. It is situated approximately north-west of the market town of Howden and south-west of the market town of Pocklington. In 1931 the parish had a population of 100. On 1 April 1935 the parish was abolished to form Ellerton. It lies west of the B1228 road and east of the River Derwent, Yorkshire, River Derwent. Baronets are hereditary titles awarded by the Crown. The current baronetage of the United Kingdom has replaced the earlier, existing baronetages of England, Nova Scotia, Ireland and Great Britain. Sir Robert Aske, 1st Baronet
Sir Robert William Aske, 1st Baronet (29 December 1872 – 10 March 1954) was a barrister and Liberal Party politician in the United Kingdom. Family Aske was born a son of Edward Aske. In 1899 he married Edith McGregor. She died in 1900. In 1909 he married Edith Cockerline. They had two sons and two daughters. She died in 1918.(1 December 2007).
