Ask La Cour
Ask la Cour Rasmussen (born ) is a Danish ballet dancer. He joined the Royal Danish Ballet in 2000, then moved to the New York City Ballet in 2002, and was promoted to principal dancer in 2013. He retired from the company in 2021. Early life Ask la Cour was born in Copenhagen, and is the son of ballet dancer and former Royal Danish Ballet associate artistic director Lise la Cour and conductor . His maternal half-brother, Nilas Martins, was a principal dancer with the New York City Ballet. As a young child, he had no interest in ballet, instead preferring soccer and skateboarding. However, when he was nine, he overheard his mother telling a friend the Royal Danish Ballet School needed more boys, so he decided to audition for the school, and was accepted. Teresa Reichlen
Teresa Reichlen (born ) is an American ballet dancer. She joined the New York City Ballet in 2001, was promoted to principal dancer in 2009, and retired in 2022. Early life Reichlen was born in Clifton, Virginia. She has three brothers. When she was three, her parents sent her to ballet classes. At age 10, she started training at Russell School of Ballet, in Northern Virginia. She is the first person from that academy accepted by the School of American Ballet, but she deferred for a year and then entered SAB in 1999, at age 15. During her deferral year, she attended a summer intensive session at the School of American Ballet and, afterward, stayed in New York City as a full-time student. Career In 2000, at age sixteen, Reichlen got an apprenticeship at the New York City Ballet. Jorma Elo is a contemporary choreographer. Early life He was born 30 August 1961 in Helsinki, Finland. His father, Jaakko Elo, is a urological surgeon, mother Ruth Elo née Carlstedt, a dentist. Jorma Elo's partner since 1994 is Nancy Euverink who has also been assistant to Elo. As a schoolboy, Elo wanted to be an ice hockey player, despite this he began studying modern and jazz dance at 12. At the age of 13 he was enrolled in Finnish National Ballet School for classical training. Commack ( ) is a hamlet and census-designated place (CDP) in the towns of Huntington and Smithtown in Suffolk County, on Long Island, in New York. The CDP's population was 36,124 at the 2010 census. ''After the Rain'' is a ballet choreographed by Christopher Wheeldon on New York City Ballet to music of Arvo Pärt, including '' Tabula Rasa'' (first movement, ''Ludus'') and '' Spiegel im Spiegel''.
