Qishta
''Qishta'' (, ), also known as ''kishta'', ''kashta '', ''ghishta'', or ''eshta'', is a dairy coagulated milk product prepared from heated fresh milk used in different dishes and consumed as a dessert. It is found in Southern Mediterranean cuisines, including Levant, Levantine and Egyptian cuisine, Egyptian cuisines. It is sometimes scented with orange flower water. Qishta may be served with fruit, used to fill Crêpe, crêpes and pastries, or served with Pistachio, pistachios and sweet syrups. Qishta is "highly perishable" and, if improperly prepared or stored, may be a source of foodborne illness such as listeria. It is similar to other heat-prepared dairy dishes such as kaymak and khoa. Ashta is a city and a municipality in Sehore district in the state of Madhya Pradesh, India. Geography Ashta is located at . It has an average elevation of 519 metres (1702 feet and 4 hands). Running through the center of the city is a river named "Parvati" after the Hindu goddess Parvati. The river is the main source of water for the city's inhabitants. Near the river, there is a temple to Shiva, husband to the goddess, which is believed to date back as far as 3500 years. Locals believe that in the month of Sawan (during the rainy season), the river Parvati gets flooded with water and the water level rises until that level when it reaches to Shiv-Ling (Lingam) in the Shiva temple on its bank. Ashta is a city and a municipal council in Sangli district in the state of Maharashtra, India. It is located at . It has an average elevation of 567 metres (1860 ft). The name "Ashta" comes from the legend that Lord Shri Ram established eight (Asht) Lord Mahadev temples in this area. The city is divided into 19 wards for which elections are held every 5 years. The Ashta Municipal Council has the population of 37,105 of which 19,171 are males while 17,934 are females as per the report released by Census India 2011. The General Students' Committee () or AStA, is the acting executive board and the external representing agency of the (constituted) student body at universities in most German states. It is therefore considered the student government and student representative organization. The AStA fulfils a similar function as the Students' Union at a British university.
