Asbury College (Maryland)
Asbury College was a former Methodist college in Baltimore, Maryland. It was founded in 1816 about 20 years after Cokesbury College, the only other Methodist college that had existed in the United States until that time, had burned down. Asbury College obtained a license to operate from Maryland in 1818. The first president was Samuel K. Jennings. Asbury University
Asbury University is a Private university, private Christian university in Wilmore, Kentucky, United States. Although it is a non-denominational school, the college is aligned with the Holiness movement, Wesleyan-Holiness movement and is a member of the Wesleyan Holiness Connection. The school offers 50-plus majors across 17 departments. In the fall of 2016, Asbury University had a total enrollment of 1,854: 1,640 traditional undergraduate students and 214 graduate students. The campus of Asbury Theological Seminary, which became a separate institution in 1922, is located across the street from Asbury University. DePauw University
DePauw University ( ) is a private liberal arts college in Greencastle, Indiana, United States. It was founded in 1837 as Indiana Asbury College and changed its name to DePauw University in 1884. The college has a Methodist heritage and was founded to be an ecumenical institution of national stature, "conducted on the most liberal principles, accessible to all religious denominations and designed for the benefit of our citizens in general". In 2023, DePauw had an enrollment of about 1,800 students. Its residential campus is located west of Indianapolis and is spread across and 36 buildings, with an additional DePauw Nature Park.
