''Arytera distylis'', known as the two-leaved coogera or twin-leaved coogera is a rainforest tree of eastern Australia. It grows by streams or in seaside rainforests. It occurs from the Orara River in the Mid North Coast region of New South Wales, extending up to Maryborough, Queensland, Maryborough in southeast Queensland. The twin leaf foliage makes identification of this plant fairly straightforward. The generic name ''Arytera'' is from the Ancient Greek for 'cup', referring to the cup-shaped fruit valves. The specific epithet (botany), specific epithet ''distylis'' is from Latin and refers to the two style (botany), styles in the flower. Description A small tree with a dense, pale green crown, occasionally reaching a height of over 20 metres (60 ft) tall, and a stem diameter of 35 cm (14 in). Benth
George Bentham (22 September 1800 – 10 September 1884) was an English botanist, described by the weed botanist Duane Isely as "the premier systematic botanist of the nineteenth century". Born into a distinguished family, he initially studied law, but had a fascination with botany from an early age, which he soon pursued, becoming president of the Linnaean Society in 1861, and a fellow of the Royal Society in 1862. He was the author of a number of important botanical works, particularly flora. He is best known for his taxonomic classification of plants in collaboration with Joseph Dalton Hooker, his ''Genera Plantarum'' (1862–1883). He died in London in 1884. A domatium (plural: domatia, from the Latin "domus", meaning home) is a tiny chamber that houses arthropods, produced by a plant. Ideally domatia differ from galls in that they are produced by the plant rather than being induced by their inhabitants, but the distinction is not sharp; the development of many types of domatia is influenced and promoted by the inhabitants. ''Arytera'' is a genus of about twenty–eight species known to science, of trees and shrubs and constituting part of the plant family Sapindaceae. They grow naturally in New Guinea, Indonesia, New Caledonia, Australia, the Solomon Islands, Vanuatu, Fiji, Samoa, Tonga; and the most widespread species and type species ''A. littoralis'' grows throughout Malesia and across Southeast Asia, from NE. The regent bowerbird (''Sericulus chrysocephalus'') is a medium-sized, up to 25 cm long, sexually dimorphic bowerbird.
