Artistic Swimming At The 2020 Summer Olympics – Women's Team
The women's team event at the 2020 Summer Olympics in Tokyo, Japan, took place at the Tokyo Aquatics Centre on 6 and 7 August 2021. It was the 7th time the women's team event was held at the Olympic Games. Russian synchronized swimmers were the five-time defending champion and they successfully defended their title. Competition format Only one round of competition is held. Each team will perform a technical routine and a free routine. The scores from the two routines are added together to decide the overall winners. Both free and technical routines starting lists are decided by random draw. The technical routine must be completed in between 2 minutes 35 seconds and 3 minutes 5 seconds. There are 3 panels of 5 judges for each routine. In the technical routine, one panel each considers execution (30% of score), impression (30%), and elements (40%). Tokyo Aquatics Centre
The is an indoor swimming pool in the Mori- Beach Park () in Tatsumi in the Kōtō ward in eastern Tokyo. Construction began in April 2017 and was completed in 2020. The total construction cost was 56.7 billion yen, ¥ (471 million Euro, €). The opening, scheduled for 22 March 2020, was postponed due to the COVID-19 pandemic and took place on 23 July 2020 without an audience. The swimming hall was built for the 2020 Summer Olympics and can accommodate up to 12,000 spectators. The arena was also used for swimming competitions at the 2020 Summer Paralympics. The swimming arena has two swimming pools and a pool for water diving. The roof was built on the ground and raised step by step to a height of 37 metres. Maryna Antonivna Aleksiyiva (; born 29 May 2001) is a Ukrainian synchronised swimmer. She is World Championships medalist. Vladyslava Aleksiyiva, who is also a synchro swimmer, is her twin sister. Career At the 2017 World Aquatics Championships Aleksiyiva won a bronze medal in team free routine which became her first major international achievement. Synchronized Swimming At The 2016 Summer Olympics – Women's Team
The Women's team event at the 2016 Summer Olympics in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, took place at the Maria Lenk Aquatics Center from 14 to 16 August. Eight teams competed, each consisting of eight swimmers (from a total team of nine swimmers). There was a single round of competition. Each team presents two routines: a technical routine and a free routine. The technical routine consists of twelve required elements, which must be completed in order and within a time of between 2 minutes 35 seconds and 3 minutes 5 seconds. The free routine has no restrictions other than time; this routine must last between 3 minutes 45 seconds and 4 minutes 15 seconds. For each routine, the team is judged by two panels of five judges each. One panel is the technical jury, the other is the artistic jury. Each judge gives marks of between 0 and 10. Yelyzaveta Serhiivna Yakhno (; born 4 June 1998) is a Ukrainian synchronised swimmer. She is World Championships medalist.
