Arthur Gaskell (Royal Navy Officer)
Arthur Gaskell (26 April 1886 – 22 August 1944) was an English footballer who played in the Football League for Bolton Wanderers. After his playing career was over Gaskell became a coach and went on to manage the Moscow City team in 1911 - 1912. He was the first foreign manager in the Russian Empire. Bollington
Bollington is a town and civil parish in Cheshire, England, to the east of Prestbury. In the Middle Ages, it was part of the Earl of Chester's manor of Macclesfield and the ancient parish of Prestbury. At the 2021 census, the parish had a population of 7,944 and the built up area had a population of 7,235. Bollington is on the River Dean and the Macclesfield Canal, on the south-western edge of the Peak District. Rising above the town on Kerridge Hill is White Nancy, a monument built to commemorate the Battle of Waterloo. History From the late 18th through to the mid-20th centuries, Bollington was a major centre for cotton-spinning. The 1923 Yugoslav Football Championship, officially called State Championship (Serbo-Croatian and Slovene: ''Državno prvenstvo''; sr-Cyrl, Државно првенство), was the first season of national association football competition in the Kingdom of Serbs, Croats and Slovenes, which later came to be known as Kingdom of Yugoslavia. At this point there was no league championship in the modern sense, as the competition was held in a single-legged cup format, with participating clubs qualifying via regional playoffs entered by winners of six regional football sub-federations.
